2026 Wardrobe Post, Part 3: JSKs
Welcome to the final and largest section of my 2025 wardrobe post, Jumperskirts! This section contains offbrand main pieces, if that offends you you can leave now. To recap, I'm a plus size daily lolita with more dresses than cents who enjoys making and failing at coord challenges and making sure order is kept in your frilly servers.
And once again, my coord breakdown from last year:
Where is the Bat by Lady Sloth - 3 Wear
Technically, I consider this a "sold" piece in my wardrobe as I'm holding it for a US based buyer, but haven't had the time to work out sending it down to them as my life got rather chaotic in the last 1/3 of 2025. I like the print a lot but the colour is a challenging one to coord and as I need to make space, my rule is to give up my sublimated print pieces first due to their lack of longevity. Unfortunately, this also means not making much money off of selling things since the demand is rather low and nothing is in great shape, but such is life. I enjoyed making coords with this piece when it was in my closet, and seeing those reminds me that I should hurry up and send it off to a new home so some other mint-loving lolita can enjoy it.
Rose Palace Medium Length JSK by Metamorphose - 4 Wears One of my few brand new purchases from last year! This was announced and it seemed like it was made for me. I'm looking forward to wearing it a bunch this upcoming year, and the coord I made for Powerwolf with the Joan of Arc armour vest was one of my favourites of the whole year. One thing I do find slightly challenging about coording it is that it doesn't actually have black as a feature (just the linework) - the lace is champagne-gold and the background is a dark teal. I sold Danse Macabre to make room as both have the same stained glass motifs but I vastly prefer the vibe of this and I know it'll have much better longevity.
Fallen Angel Doll Dress by Lip Service - 4 Wears Listen, I know what you're thinking when looking at the stock photo. But there sure aren't any lolita brands making mini-skirt length plus size friendly punk pieces in this day and age, so I'm gonna keep wearing this like it is one. Fight me. Also the fabric is super stretchy and really comfortable.
Mystique Jacquard JSK by Atelier Pierrot - 5 Wears I absolutely love this jsk, but it definitely brings a very ott/fancy energy to your day, and this year I just didn't have the energy for that as often. I also have had issues with the straps separating from the body twice, I had it repaired the first time and started drying it flat, thinking it was from the weight of it when wet, but since then they've started separating again. Still love the jsk but definitely something to keep in mind!
Dragon Bird Cage JSK by H. Naoto - 5 Wears This is it, this is THE dress for me, the dress I'd never sell even if I got out of lolita, the dress I'd be buried in if I want to be buried, etc. I have always loved H.Naoto from my lolita yearning days and never thought they would offer plus sizes, so I saved for months when this was announced, and got up at an ungodly hour to grab it at release time... only for it to not be out. I stayed up for a couple more hours, went back to sleep, went to work extremely exhausted. Still wasn't up. By my lunch break I was so tired I tried to take a nap and after getting up from it, they were finally out! It was a risky purchase since the official measurements are lower than mine, but it fits quite well despite this. I should definitely wear it a bit more given all that, but similarly to Mystique Jacquard it's a very OTT piece - I also worry about the wear and tear on it since the dragony bits and the waist ties are made from a leathery material and the rest of it is hand painted.
Bustle Corset JSK by Atelier Pierrot - 5 Wears I'm actually surprised to see this one so low, since I find it easier to wear than my other romantic gothic pieces, but I don't have a lot of options in navy/dark blue to mix it up with so maybe I need to consider that for my next round of ordering blouses etc. This was a coord I put together for checking out artists at the local tattoo convention and to test the dandy puppeteer socks out. Although I did receive the underskirt from atepie to make up the extra length, I've never worn it with the jsk, since the shorter length is perfect for my height
Mystic Wandering Spirit JSK by Haenuli x Mossbadger - 6 Wears One of my earliest purchases but one I still love wearing every time! I love the long length, the pleated skirt, and the artwork. It's very easy to style in many different ways and has a lovely witchy vibe. I will say that like my other new-Haenuli piece, the printing does have its flaws, being sublimation printed, but since it's not plain black I think it's hidden well amongst the galaxy design.
Twinkle Journey JSK by Metamorphose - 6 Wears After seeing tonblackberry coord this jsk I had to get it and I got lucky enough to nab this one for a low price off Wunderwelt, but the caveat is that it came without the shoulder frills! Honestly I don't mind at all and I usually forget that it should have come with them. I usually coord it with more black, but I thought this coord with white and mint was a nice example of me stretching outside my comfort zone this year. If you squint here you can see the necklace that I made from a $2 Daiso keychain that matches it perfectly.
Starlit Apothecary JSK by Sleepyland - 6 Wears I have such respect for Sleepyland as a brand after receiving this dress! Because the price is USD rather than JPY it's one of my more expensive items, but the details and trims are on another level compared to other indie brands. The printing is also done traditionally and not sublimation so I've had no issues with wear. My only complaint is that the sizing is a bit off, the dress is a bit big for me despite falling in the middle of the size range for Size 2, but it's not enough to need it altered. I really enjoy coording it in a witchy way as well as your standard sweet coords. Hoping Sleepyland releases more in my style range in the future, because I was very impressed my this one.
Nevermore JSK by Lady Sloth - 6 Wears This was my first dress, the one that made me take the plunge from "lolita enjoyer" to lolita wearer. See, I've always really liked corvids. My family crest from my grandmother is a raven, Raven is my favourite mythological being, etc. So I bit the bullet and made the scary move of spending a bunch of money on something I hadn't tried on and... well, it didn't fit great, and it was the pandemic by the time I received it, so it took me over a year to "properly" wear it. Unfortunately, like many of my other sublimation printed pieces, it's in ROUGH shape, so I don't wear it very often, but I have no intention of getting rid of it anytime soon.
Black x Mint Shirring JSK (link to black version) by Putre-Fashion - 6 Wears This is another well loved offbrand piece, the first of two that were given to me by my manager. It's all cotton so very comfortable and perfect for summertime, as well as having two giant pockets. Really, there's nothing to dislike about it besides that it's not "real" lolita. I've been thinking about making or commissioning a matching mint x black sailor blouse to turn it into a sailor set, since I really have my heart set on that colour combo for the sailor piece I want for my wardrobe.
Halloween Origami JSK by Lady Sloth - 6 Wears Although I wear Halloween Origami a lot in day-to-day life, by far my favourite coord with it is always when I wear it to do lolita cosplay of Osakabehime, a character from Fate:GO who is a shut-in Japanese princess spirit who attacks with origami and was introduced during a halloween event. Her colours are purple and pink, but to stay more true to lolita I stick with white, black and lavender. I was very anxious to wear this to the Fate cosplay meet at my local con, but I got to meet and take photos with a pair of cosplayers playing my favourite female characters from the series who are sisters and it made the whole thing so worth it.
Lost Kitten and the Magic Lantern Belted JSK by Metamorphose -6 7 Wears
Lost Kitten! As I was scrolling through my coords from this year, I was looking for this specific one with the white bat blouse because it was by far my favourite. I realized I'd missed adding it to my coord tracker, so its place on the chart is inaccurate. I love that although this is a sweet piece, it has some edgy elements with the belt details, and I tried to lean into that with this coord, as well as bringing out the white border instead of just coording it with black and turquoise/aqua like I usually do.
Where is the Cat JSK by Lady Sloth - 7 Wears If you're seeing a pattern in my wardrobe at this point, yes, I am extremely susceptible to the combo of mint/turquoise/teal and cats or bats. I keep telling myself I don't need this many versions of a similar motif and colour pair but I haven't been able to get rid of any just yet. I really appreciate that this one is a light chiffon because it makes it very wearable in summertime coords. It might be unconventional, but since natural fibers in plus size are rare, a common summer coord for me is JSK+harness, and I have quite a few in different colours to pair with my wardrobe.
Tooth Fairy JSK by Prison Bird Hotel - 7 Wears
I opted to pick up this release because of the asymmetry, colour and stripes combo but I actually didn't like the teeth motif much so I gave those parts to my coworker who finds teeth really neat. The coord I chose to feature is from my halloweek series where the staff at my work wore themed outfits each day, and this day was clown/circus, which is a common way that I wear it.
Skeleton Cameo JSK by Hell Bunny - 7 Wears This is the last of my offbrand main pieces and the one that is the most straightforwardly lolita looking. I don't think most people would guess that it's a Hell Bunny dress from looking at it, and I'm happy to have it as it's lightweight cotton and easy to wear. It was also a hand-me-down from my manager, I am sad as it's not in the best of shape at this point but it's probably well over 10 years old and although I've tried to treat it nicely, a day may soon come when we shall have to part.
My Spooky Macarons JSK by Lady Sloth - 7 Wears I know that this print is much be-hated in the community but I unashamedly love its tacky halloween energy. Sometimes you just want to look like a Spirit Halloween became a person and that's what this dress is for. It's also my only sweets-themed dress since I'm not really fond of them as a motif, but adding the halloween element entices me. Mine has a giant run across the bodice and a makeup stain I couldn't get out that of course had to land on a mint section and not a black one. It's fine, I don't believe in getting rid of things from minor damage and I expect there to be some wear and tear on my clothes as a daily wearer. This coord had way more different colours than I usually wear, which was a fun change for me!
Esoterica JSK by Kaneko - 7 Wears Another extremely comfortable natural fibre piece from Kaneko! I would really like to get more pieces from them, although the patterning can be a bit off, I think the quality of the fabric and the print design are really my jam. I chose to get this one in lavender for a lighter palette but it still has a very witchy vibe. I almost used another coord from my road trip for the example but after reviewing them I liked this one the most with the added white in the socks and collar. I most commonly wear this one casually, almost in a non-lolita sort of way.
Nostalgia Gothic JSK by Metamorphose - 8 Wears The piece that singlehandedly made me a burando fanatic. Although it wasn't my first brand piece (that's coming next), I was on the fence about getting something so simple at brand prices, but it's absolutely worth it as the quality of fabric and construction is really well made. As a bonus it's very versatile in my wardrobe! This coord was for seeing Babymetal and was inspired by their stage costumes while not layering up too much since it was in July. Also way heavier makeup than I usually wear to work.
Nonette JSK by Atelier Pierrot - 8 Wears*
So... this one is slightly cheating its place on the list as I actually own two versions of this JSK, one in black and one in pink, but they are combined on this chart. I should really separate them to have their own tags for next year. I'll discuss the black one first, which I wore 5 times last year. It was my first Brand dress and I was so incredibly happy to own a piece from Atelier Pierrot that resembled some of the gothic dresses I had admired as a teen. I love the combination of the satin and chiffon, the asymmetrical hem with many rows of ruffles, and the boned corset bodice. My favourite way to coord it is by swapping out the front lacing to contrast and add a second colour to the coord. This version features a teal, and my pink coord below....
And once again, my coord breakdown from last year:

This was one of my favourite coords of 2025 despite being quite a challenge! I only added the pink Nonette to my wardrobe in preparation for a cosplay coord and it was part of a trade, but I couldn't let it languish in my closet so I've been trying various ways of coording it that still feel like "me". This was for our Valentines meet and I almost got away with having no black, but the cold and ice lead me to wear my snowboots for safety. It also features one of my other favourite pieces to swap lacing for contrast on, my Meta lace-up-sleeve blouses.
Holy Lantern JSK by Angelic Pretty - 8 Wears
Holy Lantern JSK by Angelic Pretty - 8 Wears
This was a low-key wishlist item for me for a couple of years! I specifically wanted the teal version, but I did not want to pay western market prices. Luckily someone spotted this one on JP Mercari and it came with tags still attached and I found the matching barette at the same time. It also gave me the extremely strong urge to take all of my meta jsks and get the skirts shortened, because although I don't mind the longer length, I do find this length much cuter! The struggles of a short and plus sized lolita is that most things for us are made longer by default. This was a very simple work coord but I liked the sheerness on blouse and legwear mirroring each other. Despite being one of the few non-plus sized pieces I own it's still fairly comfortable.
Crystal Tarot JSK by Metamorphose - 8 Wears
Crystal Tarot JSK by Metamorphose - 8 Wears
Another versatile and easy to wear piece from Meta! It's lightweight and can be coorded easily with black, mint, aqua or teal and has a witchy vibe that I love. Pairing it with the Nocturne Tulle overdress made a very comfortable summer coord despite adding another layer. I do slightly regret not getting the matching bonnet, but I already owned two black x gold headpieces so it didn't seem worth it at the time. Maybe I'll find it later?
Rose Bird Cage JSK by H. Naoto - 9 Wears
Rose Bird Cage JSK by H. Naoto - 9 Wears
It's the slightly easier to wear sister to my dragon bird cage JSK! After getting that one, I wanted to pick up this version as well but not at full price (plus it was sold out anyway). I got lucky and someone on one of the discords I'm in was selling it and it fit the same as the other one. Honestly I like them so much I'd consider getting a white one if it came my way as well, haha. I was really proud of this coord which uses the Meta underskirt to completely change up the look of the main piece, and of course I love any coord with my favourite colours in it.
Magical Artefact JSK by Metamorphose - 9 Wears
Magical Artefact JSK by Metamorphose - 9 Wears
This was another legitimate actual dream dress for me that I acquired in 2024 (it was a great year)! I'd been loathe to pay the above retail price it went for on average, but this one came in a set with the matching capelet and barette and converted to about retail for me, so I decided to splurge. I'm so glad I did since it became one of my most worn pieces of the year and it brings me so much joy every time I wear it. This coord was a slightly more costumey one since it was for our just-after-Halloween meet so I added my faux fur ears to my headdress and attached my tail to the waist ties. I know animal ears are "controversial" in lolita but I think when worn with another headpiece and with a coord they make sense with they're soooo cute but maybe it's the inner furry in me.
Charlotta JSK by Bodyline - 11 Wears Lastly but not leastly for the JSKs it's the extremely comfy double shirring bodyline jsk! This is my second go-to for lazy day coords after my Monika Skirt and 90% of the time I wear it in a very simple kuro coord, like the example provided. It's okay to have some comfort coords that you rewear a lot, especially as a daily lolita! Some days I'm not feeling creative, or I need something that won't be hard on my body, or I want something I'm not worried about damaging.
And that's the end of my main pieces! I definitely won't be doing the rest of my wardrobe at this time, but I'm sure I'll find some other things to write about soon, so thanks for sticking with it if you read the whole thing.
